All About Bollywood

Bollywood movies can be traced back to 1913 when Raja Harishchandra made the first Indian silent film 'Dadasaheb Phalke'. Through decades of producing around 200 titles a year the industry grew to produce it's first color film in Hindi 'Kisan Kanya' in 1937 making bollywood history. Bollywood produced many successful titles but really took off in the 1950's with titles such as Pyassa (1957) and Awaara (1951) these two films became instant bollywood classics and really set the pace for Hindi movies.
